Permanent Makeup Aftercare Instructions
Immediate Post-Treatment (First 6-8 Hours)
Gently blot your brows every 30-60 minutes with a clean, dry paper towel
or sterile absorbent material toremove excess lymphatic fluid.
This helps prevent the formation of thick scabs that can compromise pigment retention.
For the first week after your service, you should wash your brows twice a day with a mild, fragrance-free face wash such as CeraVe or Cetaphil. Allow your brows to dry, and then apply a thin layer of the aftercare balm that was sent home with you. You can also use Aquaphor, or other tattoo aftercare. It is important that you do not apply an excess amount of product to your tattoo, you only want a very thin layer.
During the First 5-7 Days
- Avoid all forms of excess moisture exposure to the treated area. This includes:
- Swimming (pools, lakes, oceans)
- Hot tubs, saunas, and steam rooms
- Absolutely no sweating for the first 3-5 days
- Your brows may begin to itch during the healing process. This is normal.
- Do not scratch or pick at the area.
- If discomfort arises, reapply a thin layer of MicroBalm to soothe the skin.
After Day 5-7
You may resume regular facial cleansing, and makeup, being gentle around the treated area. Avoid exfoliating products or active skincare directly on the brows until fully healed.
Important Notes
- Using skincare with strong active ingredients will fade your brows if applied to the area.
- Follow the aftercare instructions exactly as directed for best healing outcomes.
- Improper aftercare can lead to pigment loss, patchiness, or uneven healing.
